How Doug Creates His Unique Photos
Doug’s photography is different. He doesn’t take pictures of everyday things. Instead, he makes something new and exciting using light, color, and strange materials.
What He Uses
Doug uses a camera, many LED lights, and different materials like glass, silicone, and crystal. Sometimes, he uses just one light, and sometimes he uses twenty. He often puts a light under the object to make special effects.
How He Works
Doug doesn’t plan his photos. He just starts playing with materials. He might put silicone on glass, then add some dye or food coloring, and move it around. He watches what happens — and when he sees something interesting, he takes a picture.
He can take hundreds of photos in one session. He also uses special camera settings, like Bulb mode, to take long exposure shots.
Fun Techniques
Doug likes to drop silicone on special glass called starlight glass. He uses color-changing LED lights and takes many photos, changing the light each time. Later, he may edit the photos just a little to make them look better.
Why It’s Special
Doug doesn’t follow normal photography rules. He doesn’t care about perfect lines or balance. He likes strange shapes, bright colors, and surprises. His goal is to show things we don’t usually see.
Where He Gets Ideas
Doug is inspired by the psychedelic art from the past. He likes making photos that look weird and wonderful. For him, it’s all about trying new things and seeing what happens.
